treasure: l.o.v.e. livie and luca

Hand crafted, eco-friendly shoes that are as adorable as a baby with dimples and curls?  Yes please!  Or as Little Friend would say, “Yes, Peas!”  Really, I can’t get enough of the adorable footwear offered up by the mom-minds behind Livie & Luca.  Slowly but surely, Little Friend’s shoe selection is narrowing down to one brand: Livie & Luca.

My devotion to Livie & Luca is no secret.  But if you’ve somehow missed my previous drooling over the shoe designs, revisit now.  Because it only gets better from there.  The 2011 Early Spring Line has just hit shoe stands everywhere, and I’m just itching to get my hands on a pair of Peacock Cream Mary Janes.

And of course, Little Friend will have to strut around in the Bloom Fuschia Sandal.

But I think the show stopper of the Spring Line has got to be the Port Red Slip On.

While pricier than some lesser-quality footwear on big box store shelves, Livie & Luca shoes actually hold up.  And I mean hold up; they withstand the kicking, scraping, hammering, jumping, sliding, pounding, running, look-mommy-I-can-do-a-split maneuvers that are the signature moves of toddlers everywhere.  In other words, I get my money’s worth and more out of each pair I’ve bought.

At our library story time today, I spied a Livie & Luca girl across the room.  There she was–a precious little blond curly-headed thing–doing her best to make winter blues evaporate in the face of her cuteness.  Of course somebody that precious would be clad in a pair of Livie & Luca’s black London Boots.  I felt a hint of secret solidarity as Little Friend sashayed in her Ruche Navys over to Miss London Boots.  It was a toe-tapping meeting of like minds.

Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all owned a pair of Livie & Lucas?

Oh my goodness–they are adorable. And I agree with buying quality–it’s cheaper in the long run. I learned the hard way!
